LOVEHATEHERO Streams New Album All Over the Web

Los Angeles rock band LoveHateHero is currently streaming America Underwater, its new release in stores September 29 on Ferret Music, all over the Worldwide Web via Myspace, Facebook, Purevolume, iLike, Last FM, as well as on Ferret's iPhone App so you can listen while you are away from your computer.

The band’s third full length release focuses more on its well-developed vocal melodies and cleanly polished hooks, clearly showing a band that has matured and hit its stride.

"Everyone's better at what they're doing so we were able to get more creative," singer Pierrick Berube explains. "The album still holds true to the band's sound but adds so much more depth, while at the same time being a more care free album.”

Receiving 3 ½ stars from Alternative Press, the tastemaker magazine wrote of American Underwater: “Bursting with strong melodies…their choruses are the kind that can only be removed from your brain by surgery or a bullet.”

If storming the Internet with 10 brand new anthems isn’t enough, LoveHateHero has also released its brand new video for the title track off America Underwater. Shot in Lake Mohave, AZ this past summer, the clip was directed by Spence Nicholson (Hollywood Undead, Hit the Lights, The Devil Wears Prada).

Concert Review: TV/TV

Before Warped Tour started all I kept hearing about TV/TV is that they were unsigned and playing all of Warped Tour. No one ever mentioned what kind of music they played or if they were any good. I caught part of their set at the beginning of the tour, but didn't get to see the whole thing. Luckily, in Sacramento I watched their whole set.

TV/TV made the best use of their short 30 minute set on the Skull Candy stage. They played song after song, while the crowd soaked it all up. Their blend of pop and rock music is something that can be rather difficult to pull of, but TV/TV does it in top notch style.

High Energy was the key to TV/TV's amazing set. They exploded from the first note of the first song all the way until the last lyric of the set. Lead singer, Josh Ocean, pours all he has into his live show. He is one of those lead singers who is perfectly suited for the job. He has so much energy, that he seems to have to hold back a little in order to stay behind the mic stand long enough to sing the lyrics. And on the left of the stage is the guitarist, Doc, who rocks lead guitar and back up vocals. You can see the passion in Doc's face as he shreds on his cherry red Fender Strat. The rhythm section made up of Camille and Matt also hold it down by providing solid drums and bass lines with high energy performances.

The set really took off when Josh brought Tatiana DeMaria, the lead singer of TAT, onstage to sing “Fire Island Freakout” with him. The combination of these two amazing singers singing this awesome tune was the best part of the set. The crowd ate it up, and as I was standing in the audience next to Nick and Jake, the other 2/3 of TAT, I could tell that they were just as into it as the rest of the crowd.

The set was amazing, but in the end 30 minutes wasn't enough. I want to see more. I want a full hour and a half long TV/TV show. I think these guys have what it takes to become mega-superstars of All Time Low proportions. The band is currently writing new music, and when their full length drops sometime next year, I wouldn't be surprised to see it debut quite high on the charts. See TV/TV now while they are still playing smaller shows, and I can guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Concert Review: Bayside

Bayside is definitely on my list of favorite bands, and I had the privilege of catching their show a few times on the Hurley Stage while at Warped Tour. Each time was like watching them for the first time. Their live set proves how much heart they put into their music. Unlike some bands, they played a different set of songs each time. Bayside attempts to please their true fans with a wide range of music including lesser known songs, rather than just focusing on hits or their popular album. Whether you’re a old fan or new fan, there was something in their set for everyone.

Songs that stuck out most and had crowds going wild were “The Walking Wounded” and “ Duality”. When these songs were played, fans would belt out their voices and scream just as loud as singer, Anthony Raneri. Following the screams is bass player Nick Ghanbarian. You can catch him screaming out every word of every song and getting crowds hyped. Bayside is the perfect band for this generation. Their songs mostly focus on young struggles, heartbreak and love. It may sound like every other generic teen band, but Bayside breaks the mold and uses intelligent and aggressive lyrics. What I love most about this band is that every bit of their music is played with great passion.

The show ended with “ Devotion and Desire”, and a mosh pit immediately broke out. It was impossible to steal a spot in the front row if you even wanted too. Screams and chants filled the outside of the Hurley Stage. I wouldn’t be surprised if people from other stages could hear the Bayside crowd, it was that loud. They put on a great and very memorable show. Bayside will be touring with Bouncing Souls for a couple of months. Be sure to catch one of their shows because you wont be disappointed. Dates are posted on their Myspace page. This is a band that is looking to not be forgotten and in most eyes they wont be.

3OH!3 Might Actually End Up Educating the Youth of America

What you see above is a screenshot from Yahoo Questions. Apparently this youth, who hates me and loves me and needs me, doesn't know who Helen Keller is, that she wasn't a dance, or even how to spell her name.

The girl who answered isn't much brighter. Apparently she doesn't know how to google because Helen Keller should be rather easy to find on Google.

I never thought I would say this, but 3OH!3 might end up educating the Youth of America. If more kids learn about history due to a radio pop/hip hop song, I guess that's a good thing.

However, what does that say about our education system? Shouldn't these girls be taught about Helen Keller in school? Or shouldn't they have at least heard a Helen Keller joke?
